Warning concerning couplings intended for gaseous fluids
We would like to insist on the need to make a perfectly suitable choice of couplings and locking collars/rings on the compressed air pipe concerned.
In fact, as the fluid is compressed by definition, the damage if the hose breaks is much greater than that caused by a fault on a hose transporting an incompressible fluid.
You can compare the breakage of a hose under pressure to compressed gas during an explosion.

Express couplings : European-type
This coupling has a machined socket with non-aggressive locking for pipe tubes, a fastening neck for fitting a handle collar as well as a catch on this neck to prevent the collar from being turned.
There is no need to use a wrench to connect the pipework.
The distance between the handles is 41mm, sealing is done by a seal, which may have a large hole (water application) or a small hole (air application).

Air King couplings : American-type - CROWFOOT COUPLING
This range of couplings is intended for compressed air pipes used at ambient temperature and a pressure of 10 bar.
It is advisable to use the safety pin provided with the coupling to avoid any accidental disconnection.
Furthermore, a safety cable fitted with two eyes may be installed on the connection between two hoses.
