Designed for operation in extreme environments, they resist thermal shock, prolonged vibrations, hydrocarbon exposure, and contact with chemical agents commonly encountered in operational theaters.

Their construction incorporates an inner tube compatible with all types of military fuels (diesel, F-34, JP-8, etc.), one or more textile or metallic reinforcement braids for pressure resistance, and an outer cover providing fire resistance in accordance with AIR 0978A standards.
